September 7, 2024, Xiamen, Fujian, China: His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, attended a VIP dinner on the eve of the 24th China International Fair for Investment & Trade (CIFIT), hosted by the Governor of Fujian Province, His Excellency Zhao Long.
The dinner, held at the Xiamen Seaview Resort, was attended by a number of dignitaries and high-level government and business leaders, including the Deputy Prime Minister of Cambodia and a delegation from Hungary, which is the Guest Country of Honor at this year’s CIFIT.
The dinner took place ahead of HH Sheikh Saud’s opening keynote address on Sunday morning at CIFIT, which is one of the largest investment fairs in China, attracting more than 1,000 business delegations, 5,000 companies and 50,000 business professionals.
HH Sheikh Saud is leading a high-level Ras Al Khaimah delegation to the four-day conference, after which they will travel to the cities of Dongguan and Shenzhen, in Guangdong Province, for meetings with political, cultural and business leaders.
Hosted by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, CIFIT is held annually in Xiamen and offers a platform to build international investment relations. The event has evolved into one of the most influential international investment conferences in the world, with government and business leaders from more than 100 countries participating in recent years. CIFIT, which runs from September 8 to 11, is also attended by government officials from over 100 cities in 31 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions in China.
