The Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) Police General Headquarters has launched two flagship projects to enhance the police department’s performance, namely, the ‘Governance of Improvement and Institutional Development Project’ and the ‘Benchmarking Platform’.
Major General Ali Abdullah bin Alwan Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of RAK Police, asserted that the projects will provide support for police activities in the emirate, implement greater governance for corporate performance, and take advantage of benchmarking platforms to establish long-term, sustainable corporate learning processes.
The ‘Governance of Improvement and Institutional Development Project’ seeks to bank on opportunities for development identified through the results of inspections by the RAK Police Commander-in-Chief, mystery shoppers, and inspectors, or via opinion polls or reports by local and federal awards committees.
Meanwhile, the ‘Benchmarking Platform’ relies on entering all internal and external benchmarking requests into an electronic system, as per the guidelines of the Ministry of Interior. The project seeks to establish a database of initiatives and benchmarking practices to prevent repetitions, which, in turn, supports national and strategic indexes.
